Working Equitation FNQ is a fun filled, supportive and friendly equestrian club based on the Atherton Tablelands. WEFNQ is an affiliated WEDU club.

Our home ground is at the Tepon Equestrian Facility which is situated at Wondecla,  located slightly south of Herberton.

Tepon is a first class facility, boasting a 70 x 30 metre undercover arena, excellent holding yards for the horses, fantastic camping areas with powered sites and shady trees, 2 x amenity blocks and a fully equipped kitchen.

We are proud to have the Tepon Equestrian Facility as our home base as it provides an excellent venue for both horse and rider.

Our membership base covers all areas from Townsville north, including coastal and inland areas and the tablelands and beyond.

As a club, we encourage and support riders of all ages, skills, abilities and capabilities. We also encourage and support horses of all levels, abilities and capabilities.

Our supportive members and experienced coaches are there to ensure a smooth transition into this discipline.

The sport of Working Equitation involves:

A little bit of Dressage

A whole lot of Obstacles

A dash of Speed

And the skill of working cattle

Our aim is to educate both horse and rider throughout their journey to ensure a harmonious connection.

This is achieved by providing Clinics and Workshops with experienced coaches and Practice/Training days with our experienced members throughout the year.

Our focus is to hold all of our training and competitions in a safe environment with the welfare and wellbeing of the horse at the foremost.

HAPPY HORSE……HAPPY LIFE

The beauty of Working Equitation is your horse can be of any breed or type and you have the option of presenting in Stock, Western, English, Club or Spanish.

Refer to WEDU Rule book on rules and regulations within your chosen presentation. You can also find all appropriate documents on https://www.wedui.info/

It is of no surprise this sport is going somewhere. For further information you can contact us here.
